The camera display doesn't look like the video

Are you following the instructions in the videos but the display looks completely different?

For example, you're expecting to see "AF-S" in the lower-left corner of the screen to show you're in single-shot autofocus, but you don't see it at all?

Are you using Large Indicators Mode? The displays will be completely different if this mode is on. Information may be in a different place or be completely missing. This setting is found in the SET-UP > SCREEN SETTING menu.

All display examples in these courses are shown with Large Indicators Mode off.

If your Large Indicators Mode is set to OFF, try cycling the DISP/BACK button to cycle through the displays and see if this brings it up.

The final thing to look into is your DISP. CUSTOM SETTING submenu, found in the SCREEN SETTING menu. In here you'll find all items that can be displayed on the screen; items without checkmarks are hidden from display.
